Below is a detailed overview of our expectations for both ambassadors and partnered DJs, along with information about our upcoming events.
Introduction
This section provides a comprehensive look at what we expect from our ambassadors and partnered DJs, as well as details about our upcoming events. After reading through, you'll find a short questionnaire to help us get to know you and determine if you're a strong fit for Grid Society. We appreciate your interest in being part of what we're building.
First Event: Grid Society: Inception
We currently have a confirmed date, venue, and headlining artists for our first event in June, with more details coming soon. This event will feature over $5,000 in production, as we are fully committed to making a strong first impression in the Cincinnati scene.
Our goal is to create a progressive musical journey throughout the night. The event will begin with groovy house and tech, gradually evolving into heavier bass, dubstep, and riddim as the night builds. With our venue, we plan to run until 3:00 AM, allowing for a full and intentional progression of energy.
Once headliners are finalized, we will begin assigning DJ opener slots across multiple genres. We also have additional events in development, with more announcements coming soon.
Ambassador Program
Our ambassador team will be one of the most important parts of Grid Society. Our goal is not just to throw events, but to build a connected and unified EDM culture in Cincinnati. The Society in our name is intentional, and it starts with the people involved.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about EDM
- Connected within their local communities
- Motivated to help grow something meaningful
As an ambassador, you represent Grid Society both online and in person. We expect everyone on the team to reflect our core values: respect, inclusivity, and positive energy. In these early stages, we are building a foundation rooted in welcoming culture so that as we grow, that identity carries forward.
Responsibilities
Ambassadors are expected to:
- Be active on social media through reposting, commenting, and sharing content
- Promote events directly to their network
- Represent Grid Society positively in all interactions
- Include Grid Society in their social media bio
The most important role is direct outreach, sharing events with people who will genuinely enjoy and contribute to the experience.
Compensation Structure
This is a commission based role. Each ambassador will receive a custom ticket link to track their sales.
For our first event:
- You will earn $1 per ticket sold
- You must sell 10 tickets to receive a free event ticket
- Top 3 ambassadors will receive bonuses of:
- $70 (1st)
- $50 (2nd)
- $30 (3rd)
Our goal is to reward those who contribute while also building a system that encourages effort and growth. As Grid Society expands, we plan to increase compensation and opportunities, especially for those who are involved early and consistently.
DJ/Artist Specific Information
In addition to our ambassador program, we are actively looking to work with high-quality DJ talent across Cincinnati and nearby cities. Our goal is to grow alongside local artists and create opportunities for those who are serious about their craft. We are open to a wide range of genres, from mainstream to more unique and experimental styles, as long as there is clear passion, effort, and identity behind the music.
In the early stages of Grid Society, DJ compensation will typically be structured as either:
- A variable commission-based model
- Or a hybrid model combining a fixed fee with commission
For example:
- $50 flat fee
- Plus $2 for every ticket sold through your custom link
This structure allows artists to directly benefit from their ability to promote and bring people into the event. As mentioned, our initial events focus on high level production and talent acquisition, so we believe this system allows us to fairly compensate DJs who are putting the most effort into growing their career and Grid Society. Additionally, in order to provide more value, we will be recording all sets and allow artists to have full access to the set for their own marketing purposes.
Artists who are actively producing music and developing their own sound will be prioritized for bookings, as we are focused on building lineups with forward momentum and originality.
* Signing up for the artist program does not guarantee you a position on the lineup, but it does put you in our pool of artists to pull from for opening slots.
Closing
Right now, our focus is investing heavily into production, talent, and experience to establish a strong foundation. But this project cannot grow without the right people behind it. If you believe in what we're building and want to be part of it early, this is where it starts.
